Mark Lee was born in 1952 in Cardiff, South Wales, one of four children to Hilda and Billy. He went on to have four children of his own with wife Anne, and moved to Surrey, where they remain.
Mark grew up hearing the many tales of his father’s adventures through childhood and World War 2 and encouraged Billy to record his memories in later life. It is through these diaries that Mark has published his first book to retell Billy’s amazing stories.
